Thomas County Middle School fifth-grade student Simeon Sturrup has been named the first-place 5th-grade winner at the state level for the 2024 Georgia National Fair Bear Creative Writing Competition.

Love Wins State Georgia River of Words Art Competition

Congratulations to fifth-grade Emma Love in Mrs. Lanatta's science class for winning at the state level in the 2024 Georgia River of Words Competition sponsored by Project WET. Emma's entry was an art project entitled 'Shark Encounter'.

The Georgia River of Worlds (ROW) Awards Ceremony will be held on Sunday, April 28, 2024, in Decatur where she will be recognized for her artwork. National winners are yet to be announced!

Lattay Wins First Place in Region Young Georgia Authors Competition

Congratulations to J. B. Lattay for winning first place at Southwest Georgia RESA's Young Georgia Authors Competition. J. B. will represent Thomas County at the state competition in April.

Over 50 students from the TCMS MERIT program, along with parents and teachers, recently teamed up with Keep Thomas County Beautiful (KTCB) for the Great American Cleanup. This event aims to clean up communities, prevent litter, and promote environmental conservation.
